NFL Free Agency Pt 2

Calais Campbell

Calais Campbell and Chandler Jones created a deadly combo for the Cardinals this season on their defensive front. Unfortunately for them, it’s likely that Arizona only has the money to keep one of the two stars. That said, their focus is on Jones making Campbell one of the most prized athletes on the market. Campbell was excellent against the run this year combining for 53 tackles. He was able to rack up 8 sacks and forced 2 fumbles. A team like Washington and Green Bay would theoretically be the best suitors for Campbell and would be the most willing to go all in for someone like him.

TJ Lang

TJ Lang is amongst the best offensive guards in the league. On a line that did a great job of protecting Aaron Rodgers when healthy, Lang was the leader on and off the field. While the stats for an offensive lineman are shaky, his presence is clear. He’s quick on his feet and his ability to keep both defensive ends and tackles away from the line of scrimmage is remarkable. With Indy’s O-Line historically bad, expect them to go hard for every lineman on the market.

Dont’a Hightower

Dont’a Hightower is a man amongst boys. In a star studded defense, he’s the only one standing of the core four of 2 years ago in the New England starting rotation. For a linebacker, this kid is huge. He stands at 6’4 and weighs 270 lbs. of pure muscle. He combined for 65 total tackles in just 13 games for the Patriots. After New England parted ways with Chandler Jones and Jamie Collins, you have to believe that their focus is on locking up this big guy long term as well as Malcolm Butler.

AJ Bouye

Since Josh Norman left, Carolina has had a huge void in there secondary. With the emergence of AJ Bouye, I think the Panthers will go all out. The names mentioned are the Bears and Rams, but I think that with such a young corner, the front office will pull all the strings to get this kid. He had 16 pass deflections and 63 total tackles, and solidified himself as one of the best corners in the league. Houston had a void with their secondary, and he filled it in a hurry. However, with Houston having to pay Miller, Osweiler, Watt, and Clowney, signing back Bouye seems unlikely.

DeSean Jackson

This reunion is bound to happen, and when it does it is going to feel really good. Just a few years back, Jackson was driven out by Chip Kelly but now Pedersen is there and in need of a speedy receiver. Is there anything that could go wrong?
